They are super easy to make, handy to carry around or have in the fridge and, if you find a good recipe, can not only taste great but feel like an indulgent treat. Below I share my recipe for festive energy bites which require just 5 ingredients, take no time to make and are perfect to enjoy throughout the festive season. You can pop in your bag for a quick boost when shopping or waiting for the party food to finally come out at your office party. You’re Welcome!
Ingredients
100g walnuts
200g medjool dates
150g dried cranberries
3 tbsp cacao powder plus extra for dusting
1 orange (zest and juice)
Method
Place 80g of walnuts into a food processor and pulse till fine.
Add the dates, cranberries and cacao powder and pulse until the mixture forms together without being overly smooth.
Brake-up the remaining walnuts into small pieces and add to the mixture along with the zest of the orange and half the juice. Mix with a wooden spoon until combined and evenly mixed.
Roll into balls around 1 1/2 inches in diameter, dust with cacao powder (optional).
Place on a lined baking tray in the fridge to chill for 1 hour.
Once chilled, store in an airtight container
and enjoy,
